2015: A Year In Review

2015 has been an interesting year. As before, with this article I wanted to go into the channel numbers I’ve been watching throughout this year in one go, which is always pleasing to type up and contemplate.

One of those little numbers that YouTubers, myself included, tend to dwell on obsessively is the amount of subscribers on our channel. This year we gained 148 of you guys, which I think is altogether a middling reference when you consider that almost all of them came from the runaway success of Grognak vs. Swan. True enough, my efforts to promote our event coverage have been somewhat weak this year and I’m not 100% satisfied with the amount of work I’ve put towards a regular schedule of content. I know we could be doing better but I can’t help but think I may be focusing on videos that have a pretty limited audience. The trouble really stems from the way YouTube promotes our content. I need to up my game and ensure I’m releasing, at my least productive, a video every month. Ideally, we should have one coming out every two weeks. I think that’d be a great resolution to try and achieve this year.

Comparatively, however, 1128 likes flies directly in the face of only 34 dislikes. That’s a great indicator that the videos aren’t soggy nonsense that people hate. And in total this year we reached almost fifty thousand video views. That number just astounds me. Altogether, 63012 minutes were spent by other people watching our stuff. That number is fantastic, and I’m grateful to any fans of my work who might be reading this now.
